summer fever, what a bleeder, hot summer, hot summer

I am concerned for the world.  Is that a strange sentiment?  This shit with Georgia and Russia, the fact that we gave the Olympics to China- a nation which is known for being hostile and uncooperative toward US/UN relations (who thought that was a good idea, I'd like to know), the never ending equation of global warming, the John Edwards baby daddy bullshit, the problem of the Middle East, the fact that President Bush is chillin in Beijing instead of doing the one thing he hasn't done in four years- his job, the upcoming election which has already reared its ugly head in the arena of injustice, and the fact that I'm probably still forgetting a number of other issues.  I really despise politics, it's all bureaucratic nonsense built on the basis of what other than money money moneeeeeeey, but the prospect of a future in this war torn world is frankly, quite frightening.  Change is not only a choice, but a necessity.

Anyway.

Summer comes to an end soon, but let's not talk about that.  School starts the twenty-fifth, but let's not talk about that.  I've had a cold for what seems like forever, but let's not talk about that.  I've been home for a few days, but I'm going back to the apartment some time tomorrow.  There's so many things that I still want to do.  I don't want it to end.  I don't ever want things to end.

Here's for 90s grunge.  I'm so obsessed with this video, but I'm computer illiterate and can't figure out how to post it, so I leave you with the link:

Ciao, for now.
