when you're born a lover, you're born to suffer.

The past week has consisted of:

Packing.  This was probably the first time I have ever packed anything in my life and not been under the influence of alcohol.  For example, the last time I packed was to leave college in May and Courtney and I somehow managed to leave that until the morning of her flight and just four mere hours before my parents came to gather me and my belongings.  We also were drunk on tequila & yager and hadn't slept in two days.  You can imagine how many things we forgot, lost, and/or threw out (couldn't tell you which).  Sober packing takes a lot longer.  And is a lot more boring.  But you do manage to remember where you put what, so I suppose that's a plus.

The move to the Westchester apt.  Didn't take half as long as I'd imagined.  I'm not sure whether I have the sobriety to thank for this or the fact that like four people were helping.

Wolf Parade show.  They opened with "Sons & Daughters of Hungry Ghosts," played a bunch of stuff from their new album (At Mt. Zoomer), did a 3 song encore, and closed with "I'll Believe in Anything."  Really was a great show, they killed it.

Hardly any unpacking.  Still about 10 boxes of clothing sitting idly in my room.  Whatever.

Hanging out with Oli/Jown/Sonja.  Saw the Dark Knight, which actually was really good (the best part: "Want to see a magic trick?  I'll make this pencil disappear").  Got new friends for Kurt & fam.  Had some story time on the typewriter until the ribbon got fucked up.  Also, movies & beer & even some domesticity- Oli cooked for us (Black Sheep, Equilibrium, The Tripper, The Fountain, Marie Antoinette and as for the beer, Sam Adams Boston Lager and one night, we decided to be classy and go with forties).

Sitting on pillows in the living room since I still haven't bought much furniture.  Shopping is a to-do for this week.

Never waking up before eleven = the closest thing to heaven on earth.

These songs have gotten a lot of play the past seven days:

i concur with lucien's statement.
actually can you also get something thats preferably not a camping chair so that when lucien kicks me off the couch in an ambien-induced fit of rage, i don't have to curl up in a ball? thanks.

that seems fair. i'm trying to find us two couches or a couch and a loveseat anyway. so, in theory, you two could stay at the same time and not have to engage in such acts of violence. yeah!
